Since they met in 2023, violinist Galina Lanskaia and pianist Christian Wachter have been building, concert after concert, a musical dialogue marked by finesse and mutual understanding. Together they explore the demanding, refined repertoire of the violin and piano duo, bringing out the emotional richness and depth of these works.
Driven by a shared artistic vision, Galina and Christian are committed to bringing the great pages of classical music to life while adding their own sensitivity. Their collaboration, both rigorous and inspired, gives rise to interpretations that are at once faithful and personal.
In 2024 they performed the complete Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano, an emblematic cycle that testifies to their virtuosity and their exceptional musical understanding. Building on that landmark experience, they are now pursuing a new large-scale project: the complete sonatas of Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann, two leading composers of German Romanticism, whose works test the performers' technique as much as their sensitivity.
But their ambition does not stop there. The duo continually broadens its repertoire, combining major works with rarer pieces to offer varied programmes, rich in emotion and discovery. This artistic choice allows them to reach a wide audience while offering concerts that are always renewed.
